Piccola Università Italiana organises a Junior Summer Camp to study Italian in Southern Italy.
Designed for students aged 12 to 17, the programme blends daily Italian lessons with memorable cultural, natural, and social experiences.
Young participants live and learn in a safe, welcoming environment right by one if of Italy’s most stunning beaches. Students enjoy engaging lessons, beach activities, exciting excursions, creative workshops, and plenty of time to build friendships in one of the most breathtaking coastal areas of Italy.
Our Junior Summer Camp in Southern Italy brings young learners from all over the world together for an unforgettable immersion in the Italian language, Mediterranean culture, with the vibrant spirit of Calabria in a spectacular location.

A Spectacular Location: Tropea & the Coast of the Gods
The camp is set in Santa Domenica di Ricadi, a charming seaside area only 5 minutes from Tropea, often ranked among the most beautiful coastal towns in Italy.
This region is famous for:

Executive Staff and Group Leaders
Everybody in the programme from the executive staff to entertaining hosts and natural and cultural guides are passionate to transform this programme into a rich and unforgettable experience, keeping students entertained after class and on weekends.
Our bottom line is safety. As a matter of fact, students are supervised 24/7 guaranteeing parents that their children are taken care of in the most appropriate way.
Multilingual staff members will assure that students are understood in their necessities and requirements. However, Italian is the language students need be immersed in and other languages shall only be used in case that the foreign language is indispensable.

The Language Course
4 lessons daily (each 45 minutes), 5 days a week (according to the regulation of group courses)
Students attend lessons from Monday to Friday in small international groups, ensuring active participation and steady progress.

Taught entirely in Italian by qualified teachers specialising in teenage learners. The dynamic and communicative approach helps students gain confidence quickly while having fun.
The Accommodation
Students stay in a comfortable beachside facility surrounded by gardens, nature, and the sea—an ideal environment for study, relaxation, and outdoor activities.

The Catering

The Extracurricular Activities
Afternoons and weekends are filled with exciting cultural, creative, and outdoor activities designed to offer a complete Italian summer experience.
Activities include:
- Beach games, swimming, snorkelling, SUP…
- Guided tour of Tropea
- Half-day excursion to Pizzo + Gelato-making workshop
- Half-day excursion to Reggio Calabria to visit the world famous Bronzi di Riace
- Full-day adventure at the Rope & Adventure Park in the Sila mountains
- Creative and cultural workshops
- Mediterranean cooking class (learn to make fresh pasta!)
- Evening events: songs, games, Italian movie nights
