Piccola Università Italiana offers an Italian language course for senior students in its school in Trieste.
This special course is addressed to senior students belonging to the age group 6o+
Our school will offer you the great possibility to learn Italian along with a broad range of activities such as social activities, excursions and cultural field trips. We will provide you with a comfortable accommodation as well!

Students can choose to start this course between the following dates:
- Winter programme: from 21/01/2024 to 04/02/2024
- Spring programme: from 10/03/2024 to 24/03/2024
- Autumn programme: from 20/10/2024 to 03/11/2024
Arrival and departure day is on Sunday.

- 8:00-8:30 Written grading test
- 8:30-10:00 Oral grading test
- 11:00-13:00 Italian course
- 18:00 Introduction to the extracurricular programme
- 19:00 Eating Italian Pizza (to get to know the group, not included)
Tuesday:
- 09:00-13:00 Italian course (with 20 min. break)
- 15:00-17:00 Guided historical city tour through Trieste, followed by a coffee in a famous historical cafe
Wednesday:
- 09:00-13:00 Italian course (with 20 min. break)
- 14:00 Half-day excursion: Visit of a wine estate with wine and oil tasting
Thursday:
- 09:00-13:00 Italian course (with 20 min.break)
- 14:00-19:00 Half-day excursion to Cividale
Friday:
- 09:00-13:00 Italian course (with 20 min.break)
- Free afternoon
- 16:00-18:00 Watching an Italian classic movie
Saturday:
- 09:00-18:00 Full-day excursion to Udine with guided tour. Visit of the Fresco from the famous painter Tiepolo/Possibility to have lunch in a typical Osteria

- 13:30-20:00 Half-day excursion to Aquileia
Thursday:
- 09:00-13:00 Italian course (with 20 min.break)
- Free afternoon
- 16:00-18:00 Watching an Italian classic movie
Friday:
- 09:00-13:00 Italian course (with 20 min.break)
- 15:00-19:00 Guided visiting tour of the Castle of Duino, followed by the visit of a traditional Osmiza in the Karst mountain range (with wine and snack)
Saturday:
Objective
Developing speaking, writing, listening and reading skills while being immersed in a magical atmosphere.
Size of groups
This course will be carried out in small groups of 3 to 8 participants. In case a group of 3-8 cannot be formed, the student will be placed in a 1-2 student to teacher ratio setting. If this occurs, the number of lessons will be reduced by 50%.
Minimum amount of participants is 6 students per course date.
