Piccola Università Italiana organizes also a Junior Summer Camp to study Italian in Italy.
This special language course programme is designed for young students in the age group 12 – 17. It includes a special group course of 20 lessons per week, extracurricular programme with educational field trips, sports and fun activities, workshops in archaeology, history, science and music, travel insurance, accommodation in 3- or 4-bed-rooms with full-board.
We want our young learners to immerge in the Italian language, to study Italian in an entertaining way, learn about Italy and its inspiring culture but also to have fun taking part in social, sporting and instructive activities, while making friends from all over the world.

All students need to present an authorization form signed by their parents or legal guardian.

Everybody in the programme from the executive staff to entertaining hosts and natural and cultural guides are passionate to transform this programme into a rich and unforgettable experience, keeping students entertained after class and on weekends.
Our bottom line is safety. As a matter of fact, students are supervised 24/7 guaranteeing parents that their children are taken care of in the most appropriate way.
Multilingual staff members will assure that students are understood in their necessities and requirements. However, Italian is the language students need be immersed in and other languages shall only be used in case that the foreign language is indispensable.

The Language Course
4 lessons daily (each 45 minutes), 5 days a week (according to the regulation of group courses)
The Italian lessons are divided into 2 units of 2 lessons each, with a 30-minutes break in between. Each unit is executed by a different teacher. The first part is dedicated to grammar and the second part to conversation. Both parts are performed in a communicative approach. The highly qualified teachers, all with university degree and the special preparation to teach Italian as a foreign language have great expertise to work with young learners.
Perfect for all language levels, including total beginners
The campus is located in the heart of the old town of Trieste. The students are accommodated in double or triple rooms and all have a private bathroom. On campus there is also a canteen, a big sports hall, a smaller training ground gym, changing rooms for the gym, a self-study hall, a play room, a chapel and a garden.
Full Board (breakfast, lunch and dinner), including mineral water.
Meals are strictly served under the Mediterranean diet.
The Extracurricular Activities
The diversified extracurricular programme offers everything students and parents may desire:
– Treasure hunts to uncover the city of Trieste
– Cultural field trips to discover the beautiful castles of Trieste
(Castle of San Giusto, Castle of Miramare, Castle of Duino)
– Cultural field trips to UNESCO World heritage sites
– Natural hikes to learn about secrets of the carst mountains
– Sports activities (Volleyball, basketball, dancing)
– Workshops in archaeology, history, music, science and art, held in museums and during field trips
– Evenings with guitar music and karaoke
On the last day of course students receive a certificate confirming participation of the course.
