The famous “Black Friday” is approaching, known all over the world as
Black Friday: a day when shops and companies offer exceptional deals,
often only for a very short time.
But have you ever wondered where this tradition comes from?
📜 A bit of history
The term “Black Friday” appeared for the first time in the United States in the 1960s.
The Philadelphia police used it to describe the chaotic traffic that formed the day after
Thanksgiving, when everyone rushed to start their Christmas shopping.
Over time, however, the meaning changed: shops went from being “in the red” to “in the black”
thanks to the enormous volume of sales. Hence the name Black Friday, as a symbol of a positive,
convenient, and highly anticipated moment!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION to be able to get one Italian language course week for free
- This offer is valid for both locations: our Italian language school in Trieste and our Italian language school in Tropea
- The offer is valid for all students who book 3 or more weeks of classic group course (= Italian course A – conversation course or Italian course B – complete course) inclusive of accommodation.
- The weeks do not necessarily have to be consecutive, but they can be spent by the end of 2026, as long as the booking is made before the offer expires.
- You can communicate the precise attendance weeks later, you do not need to do this when booking.
- However, the confirmed dates need to be requested in time to be able to offer the accommodation category booked.
- The Italian language course week for free (= scholarship week) can be spent at any time.
- To benefit from the scholarship you must book the following accommodation categories: “Residenza PUI” in Trieste and accommodation in an apartment in Tropea.
- To take advantage of the offer, you must make the booking and the payment by December 23, 2025.
- At the time of booking, indicate the term of the offer “BLACK FRIDAY”.
