Are you over 60? Do you love Italian culture and its language? Our 60+ Program in Italy starting the 12th of March is perfect for you!

Through our Italian Language course for senior students, you will immerse yourself in La Bella Lingua discovering the cultural, historical, artistic, and culinary richness of Calabria and Friuli Venezia Giulia. You will stay with people sharing the same interests as yours and the spirit of discovering deeply Il Bel Paese. The program is available in two beautiful Italian regions that distinguish themselves for their uniqueness.

Seniors are attracted by the Italian language and culture; this is why we have created this program. Its aim is to make you live a joyful and rich experience together with people of the same age as yours.

Still, if you also love the company of younger people do not worry! At school, you will get in touch with people of different age groups, and this will foster stimulating moments of exchange. Our 60+ courses are organized in small groups of 3 to 8 students to guarantee the highest level of quality and fast and effective results.

We are happy to present two of our brand new courses which, starting from January, will take place entirely online, ideal for all those who wish to study the Italian language, but who are unable to attend a course during the day for business or other reasons.

Do you love to read ? Are you passionate about Italian literature, but is the idea of ​​facing an entire reading alone a little scary?
Piccola Università Italiana offers you the opportunity to participate in a real Italian language book club! A series of meetings divided into Cycles designed for those who want to try their hand at reading short novels in Italian. By participating in our Club you will greatly increase your cultural background as well as linguistic and lexical, you will improve your written comprehension during the individual reading phases and the oral production during the plenary discussions with the class led by the teacher . You will discover the pleasure of reading a book in Italian and you will greatly enrich your vocabulary . Which book will be dealt with in the first cycle of the Club? You will choose it through a survey! Our proposals are:

Alessandro Baricco – Seta
Niccolò Ammaniti – Io e te
Cesare Pavese – La bella estate

You get along with the spoken language but when you have to write something in Italian do you feel a little insecure? Deepening and improving your written production might just be what you need to finally make that long-awaited leap in quality!
Piccola Università Italiana offers you the opportunity to participate online in a Writing workshop.
The laboratory will be divided into two modules: Module A for learners belonging to the A2-B1 range, Module B for learners belonging to the B2-C1 range. This is a practical course in which you will have the opportunity to learn and perfect the written production skills through the observation of authentic texts, the analysis of the various textual genres, the study of the mechanisms of cohesion and the various formulas and customs that characterize a kind as such. At the end of each lesson you will be asked to carry out a written production similar to the one presented and analyzed in class.

The most beautiful time of the year has arrived, the most magical, the most reflective and the most sensitive time! Share the joy of Christmas with us! Despite the social distance that we must maintain, we have found a way to feel closer and to try to give ourselves moments of serenity, carefree and cheerfulness! This year we need it, more than ever!

Join our CHRISTMAS PARTY to get together and share the Christmas atmosphere! We will select two Christmas carols in Italian that we will send you the day before the celebration so that you can print them out. Unfortunately, it is not possible to try our mulled wine or punch, but get ready at home with your favourite Christmas drink and – cookies!

Die Weihnachtsfeier findet direkt in der Sprachschule in Triest statt, aber alles wird auf eine große Leinwand projiziert, damit wir uns nahe fühlen und gemeinsam die Magie von Weihnachten teilen können!

The Christmas party will take place directly from the Trieste school but everything will be projected on a big screen and so we can feel close and share the magic of Christmas together!

A beautiful event in hybrid mode … with you online and with students and staff in Trieste! Being together having fun, singing and speaking in Italian … this is our aim!

Take part in our online Christmas workshop and learn how to create wonderful Christmas balls, comfortably in your home, but with us and of course… speaking in Italian! This Christmas will be special due to the general situation linked to Covid and we will all remember in the future how we spent it. We would like you to also remember us and, above all, your passion: the Italian language. Which object could possibly accompany you for many years? A BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS BALL, made with your hands following the instructions in Italian! You will learn how to make these wonderful balls covered with fabric with the ARTICHOKE TECHNIQUE!

Our teacher Katuscia will have you spend two wonderful hours of CREATIVITY, HARMONY and POIESIS.

The workshop is suitable for all language levels, both for beginners and for students at an advanced level.

We kindly ask a contribution of  € 20 for the workshop.

Here is what you will need to actively participate in the workshop:

– 1 polystyrene ball (diameter from 5 to 7 cm maximum)
– 1 pen – 1 box of pins (about 15mm high)
– 2 or 3 satin or polyester ribbons 25 mm high and about 2 long meters each
– 1 ribbon to close the work 5 or 10 mm high and about 50 cm long
– 1 tape measure (recommended)
– 1 nail file (recommended)

In order to actively participate, you must organize the material before the workshop.

Piccola Università Italiana gives you the possibility to attend an Italian evening course starting from January 18, 2021. Our Italian evening courses programme is rich, varied, and always tailor-made for our students!

You can choose either to attend the entire course online or to follow our classes in presence at our Italian language school of Trieste.

Our courses are opened to students from 16 y.o. and follow a specific teaching program. In particular, our program is divided in 4 levels according to CEF guidelines: Beginner (A1/A2),  Intermediate (A2/B1), Advanced (B1/B2) and Proficiency (B2/C1).
You can choose which level to attend. Nevertheless, our teachers will ask you to take a short entrance test to check if your skills fit the course level you chose. Only this way, we can guarantee you an efficient and effective learning experience!

Both courses consist of 40 lessons of 55 minutes to follow 2 times per week on Monday and Wednesday or on Tuesday and Thursday.

At the end of the course you will receive a certificate that confirms the participation of the course in the attended language level!

Our Italian evening courses are tailor-made for all those who want to study Italian, but who are unable to attend a course during the day for work or other reasons.
